James brings over 15 years of telecom and networking experience to Wifi Rail. His understanding of multi-user platforms, system integrations, Data Center (NOC) operations, and network administration is invaluable in the delivery of high-speed wireless services in a mobile environment.
He is involved in the physical build-out of the WiFi Rail Network, and his expertise with Fiber Optic Installation and Termination has made him an invaluable member of the team. He has helped establish the parameters of the operations and administration of the underlying data center.
For seven years, James was one of the backbones of TMEX, International, with offices in Newport Beach, CA and Mexico City, Mexico. He was responsible for co-building and supervising the Network Operation Centers, which handled incoming and outgoing international voice traffic 24/7. He developed specification for and managed the telecom systems, as well as the integration of LAN/WAN using a wide array of networking technologies.
Prior to his work at TMEX, James was a Field Service Representative for Cox Communications, involved in the installation of High Speed Internet Services, Cable Telephony, VOIP, and WiFi for residential and business customers.
In the early 90’s, he was a system operator for a large multi user bulletin board system (BBS). James was responsible for the migrations of the platform from a strictly dial-up BBS with a limited user base to a fully enabled Internet access platform, as well as a dial-up ISP.
