Brad Brak is currently VP Business Development/Sales at RedCannon Security, a Silicon Valley (founder-funded) startup that recently introduced the vDefense Security System for virtual server environments running VM Ware, Citrx or Microsoft hypervisors. Prior to that Brad was Chief Operating Officer (COO) for RealBlocker, a malware security startup in Silicon Valley focused on enterprise security solutions.
Brad’s joined iPolicy Networks, a Silcon Valley startup that was VC funded by Morgan Stanley Ventures, Artiman Ventures and Greylock Ventures. iPolicy introduced the world’s first Service Provider & Government network deep packet inspection engine. This engine was expressly designed to provide multigig, multi-customer, multi application (FW, IPS, Virus Scan, D-Dos Prevention, etc) and offer a high ROI to SP’s providing hosted/managed security services to global customers. Notable customers included AT&T (deployed in all global data centers), Sprint, USAF with early staging testing performed at NSA and NASA.
Brad’s career spanned thirty years with AT&T/Lucent Technologies as a leader of organizations which amassed over $2 billion in sales. He was responsible for global sales of AT&T Network /Professional Services and Lucent data, voice and Service Provider Infrastructure products (wireline & wireless).
Brad’s many executive positions have included Executive Director Sale, where he was responsible for closing $200M in “professional services”, and an AT&T $400M+ three year network contract as General Manager Sales in 1996. Brad returned to those positions after work in Mexico City as an International Sales Director - New Markets to establish AT&T’s Network Systems (renamed Lucent Technologie) and NAFTA presence in 1994 -1995. His group sold network infrastructure solutions to new, emerging Service Providers in Mexico to compete with Telmex.
Brad studied Business Administration at Wisconsin State University. His thirty year AT&T career included over 50 leadership, sales, general management and product training courses. Brad was a frequent winner of most AT&T elite top sales awards, including President’s Club and was chosen for the “top 1%” fast-track executive program from 1992-1998.
