Mr. Kearns has over 30 years experience in the Telecommunications Industry. Most of that time was spent with AT&T. During his employment with AT&T he held a number of management positions in the Network Operations, Engineering and Marketing departments. These positions included assignments in Denver, Kansas City, San Francisco, New York and Salt Lake City.
From January 2003 until present, Mr. Kearns has diligently served the Company as its President. In this position he has helped build the Company from the ground up including the acquisition of initial infrastructure, client base, operations, and technical design and expertise of the mission critical billing systems. Mr. Kearns primary experience has been in the operations and engineering of the Public Switched Telecommunications Network. His primary expertise has been as a Project Manager for several large Telecommunications Projects.
Most recently he was co-founder and operations director for a start up Telecommunications Company. Under his direction this company designed and installed a large state of the art VoIP long distance network. This network was conceived and built just as the VoIP technology was emerging. This network included locations in 26 US cities and three locations in Mexico. Mr. Kearns also managed the development of a complete billing software package that enabled call detail records to be collected from the VoIP equipment and formatted into customer bills.
His expertise allowed this company to merge the old Public Switched Network (PSTN) with the new VoIP technology. This allowed customers to take advantage of the more efficient VoIP architecture without replacing their entire infrastructure. Significant Projects/Assignments: Operations Manager responsible for installation and cutover of the first AT&T switching System in the Western Region. This system was located in Denver. Cutover Chairman for the AT&T #4 ESS switching system located in Salt Lake City. This system replaced the electro-mechanical system and switched all long distance calls for Utah, Idaho and Montana. Managed the conversion of the entire AT&T Salt Lake City office from the old analog technology to the new digital technology. Project Manager for AT&T responsible for the installation and cutover of 13 telecommunications switches located in several State Of Utah government facilities. This project was completed over a year ahead of schedule. Project Manager responsible for installation and cutover of a large Holiday Inn reservations center. Project Manager responsible for the installation and the cutover of telecommunications equipment located at 3 major Novell locations. Operations Director for a startup Telecommunications Company.
Mr. Kearns enjoys family, golf and other outdoor sports. He and his wife Lois especially enjoy their three grandchildren and traveling in their RV.
